Mr. Mahon serves as an industry advisor to Friedman Capital, bringing operations and valuation expertise in Chemical Distribution to the firm.

Previously, Mr. Mahon was Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Planning for Univar Inc., one the world’s leading distributors of industrial and specialty chemicals. In his role, Mr. Mahon led the company’s mergers and acquisitions activities, completing transactions valued at over $800 million in the United States, Canada and Europe. Mahon was responsible for Univar’s commercial activities in Asia-Pacific, India and other growth markets and provided tactical and strategic coaching to Univar’s global team.

Prior to Univar, Mr. Mahon served in sales, marketing and operating executive roles in the chemical distribution and logistics industries, including tenures with GATX Corporation, McKesson, Royal Vopak, and United Parcel Service.

Mr. Mahon received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and a Master of Science in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology at Atlanta, GA.
